Credit or Debit Card - Ordering online with us is safe and secure! We use Sage Pay secure payment, the preferred choice of several High Street banks. Simply click on the Credit or Debit Card option in Checkout to enter your card details securely. We accept all major credit cards, including AMEX.

Telephone (credit or debit card) - Please call the Birthstone Gifts free phone orderline on 0800 0380 103 (open 5 days a week between 9:30am - 7pm BST. If there is no answer, please leave your name and telephone number and we will call you back). We can process and approve your card details instantly and securely. You may also use this number for order requests and enquiries such as custom orders, deadlines, and specific delivery requests.

PayPal - If you would like to pay using PayPal, please click on the PayPal link in the shopping cart. Payment is instant and your order will be processed immediately. You can also pay by credit/debit card without becoming a PayPal member.



Please allow 1-3 working days for your order to be dispatched, unless stated otherwise in the item description. Please allow up to 2-3 weeks for gemstone set pieces (slider pendants, circle pendants and birthstone chain bracelets) to be handmade, and 6-8 weeks for birthstone rings.

All UK orders are sent by either:

  • Royal Mail Special Delivery - Your package is guaranteed to arrive by 1pm the next working day after the parcel is dispatched*. All parcels are insured up to the value of 500. *please ensure the delivery address is correct;
  • Royal Mail First Class Recorded Delivery - This is the least expensive method, however jewellery is not insured and the parcel is not tracked until delivery/attempted delivery has been made. Delivery usually takes between 1-4 days, after dispatch;
  • Royal Mail Special Saturday Delivery - Your package is guaranteed to arrive on Saturday, if ordered before 11am on the Friday. All parcels are insured up to the value of 1000.

Costs are calculated by weight, with an average First Class Recorded Delivery package costing 3.98; 6.98 for Special Delivery; and 11.98 for Special Saturday Delivery (prices include VAT at 20%).

All overseas orders are sent by International 'Signed For' (please allow 3-14 days for your package to arrive). Costs are calculated by weight and by destination. Postage costs do not include possible custom charges for your country. Please contact your customs office for further information. For all these postage options you will need to sign for your item on delivery.

Items lost in transit Royal Mail declare an item as lost after 15 working days from the expected delivery date. Birthstone Gifts will provide a free replacement after 15 working days of this date.


We take great care in packaging your item, to ensure your jewellery is not damaged during transit. All pieces are presented in a high quality jewellery box. Information on your chosen birthstone and jewellery care instructions are also provided.

Have your jewellery gift-wrapped in luxury paper, tied with satin ribbon and include a personal message in a gift-tag. Choose from our pretty pink gift-wrap or fancy hearts gift-wrap. Our jewellery is presented in a high quality box. Please see individual item descriptions for details.

Refund/Exchange Policy

Each handmade piece we sell is carefully inspected before it is shipped, to ensure your jewellery is of the highest quality. We are confident that you will be delighted with your purchase, however please read our refund policy before placing an order:

Refund Policy - We understand how difficult it can be to buy from the internet, and your satisfaction is very important to us. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase (for whatever reason) you are entitled to cancel your order within 7 working days, starting from the day after delivery. Before cancelling your order, please notify us via the contact form on this website or by telephone (0800 0380 103). We will send you full instructions on how to return the goods. Goods returned without prior notification may not be accepted. The customer must take reasonable care of the goods and should return them undamaged. Return postage costs are payable by the customer.

Birthstone Gifts are one of the few companies who offer a refund on personalised jewellery. Many pieces can be returned for a full refund whilst others are not suitable for re-sale and require dismantling. These are pieces where the charms or pendants are fixed to the chain or the name is included on the jewellery. For such pieces, a 20% 'breaking' fee is deducted from the value of the returned goods, to cover for lost metals and materials. Please note the the birthstone rings and Mother's slider pendant necklaces cannot be returned, unless faulty:

Jewellery that cannot be returned, unless faulty:

  • Mother's Birthstone Slider Pendant Necklace
  • Designer 18ct Gold Birthstone Rings (custom-made to size)

Exchange Policy - You may return your jewellery for an exchange, up to 14 days after the order was received. The value of the exchanged item must be equal to or higher than the original order. You will not be charged a breaking fee, only the additional cost of the exchanged item and postage.

If your jewellery is too large or small, we are happy to resize the item at no additional cost (if too large), or the cost of the additional size if too small. You must contact us within the 14 day exchange period. The item should be unworn, with the label still attached. If the item needs to be resized outside the exchange period, please contact us for a quote.

All returned items should be carefully repackaged in the original packaging. No exchanges can be given if the item is damaged.

D for Diamond jewellery must be returned in its original packaging, as this is part of the completed product.

Handmade Process

All of our jewellery is handmade to the highest standard by British jewellery designer Lilia N. Many components used are also handmade or hand-cut, without use of machinery. Therefore small imperfections should be expected. Indeed, these add to the uniqueness and charm of each piece.

Our Guarantee

We take pride in our work and take particular care to ensure that your piece of jewellery is of sufficient quality to be a keepsake. All jewellery is quality checked after it is made and before dispatch.

We personally choose all of the gemstones, crystals and metals used in our jewellery, purchased from reliable sources. All Sterling silver and 9ct gold components are obtained from our manufacturing sources in the UK and USA, or handmade 'in-house'.

If a piece of jewellery is damaged, not due to our workmanship (through misuse, 'normal' wear and tear, accident, or neglect) a small fee will be charged to cover the cost of the materials and time spent on the repair.

If you claim a breakage/fault before the item has been worn (i.e. in transit), the security tag should not have been removed to qualify for a free repair/replacement.

Please contact us beforehand to let us know what is wrong with the item and for a quote. Please note that regularly worn bead-strung pieces should be restrung every 6 months or so, to avoid breakages. We are happy to restring your bracelet/necklace for a fee of 7, providing all the components are returned. Postage costs are payable by the customer.
